Some Healthy Dips for the Big Game!


Jon’s Triple Threat

Here are three quick and easy dips to enjoy with chips, vegetables, or pita bread.


Hummus

1 Can of Chickpeas drained

1 Clove of garlic

¼ Cup Olive Oil

1 TBSP Lemon Juice

½ tsp Cumin

Water, or aquafaba [liquid from the chickpea can (if needed)]

Salt and Pepper 


  1. Place the chickpeas, garlic, olive oil, lemon juice, and cumin in the blender or food processor.

  2. Blend till smooth. IF needed add water until desired consistency is reached

  3. Season with salt and pepper to taste.


Pico De Gallo

3 Roma Tomatoes Diced

½ Onion Diced

1 Jalapeno diced, seeds removed

2 TBSP Cilantro, diced

1 TBSP Lime Juice

Salt and Pepper


  1. Placed the tomatoes, onion, jalapeno, and cilantro into a bowl and mix.

  2. Stir in lime juice

  3. Season with salt and pepper to taste


Guacamole

2 Ripe Avocados mashed

½ TBSP Lime Juice

Salt and Pepper


  1. Use a potato masher to mash avocados in a bowl.

  2. Stir in lime juice

  3. Season with salt and pepper to taste
