This program is designed to introduce your child to the wonderful world of learning. Your child will learn social skills as well as experience arts and crafts, songs and gym games. In addition, your child will swim in the kiddie pool.

This program is tailored to the social, physical and creative world of the preschool child. In our morning program children will participate in open-ended art projects, circle time, story time or free swim. Once a week the children will receive a swim lesson and tennis lesson.

I started out as a camper here, then worked my way to a camp counselor and I’ve been full time at Sportsplex since 2013. I’ve taught all ages, but I’m mainly found being a lead teacher in the 3’s class. I’m not just a teacher, I’m Miss Danielle’s left hand, you can find me doing camp registrations, directing camp, working the front desk and anything else that’s needed.

I have been teaching preschool since 2021 starting in the 2’s program, balancing both the 2’s and 3’s classes. Then moving up into the 3’s program full time. Background: Completed a Bachelor’s degree in Communication Studies and minor in
Psychology from Pace University in 2020. Though my background is not in early childhood education, I have found a love for working children in a classroom environment. I am a NYS certified teachers aid. Outside the classroom: Some of my favorite things to do are going line dancing with friends,
reading, traveling, doing photography and being creative overall.

Marisa has been teaching for nearly 20 years and has spent many of those years working in Special Education. She now have been teaching preschool and truly enjoy supporting young children. She is also a proud mom to three wonderful boys.

Graduated SUNY Oneonta in 2019 with a bachelors degree in early childhood/ childhood education. Currently a NYS certified teacher in birth-grade 2, with plans to get certified all the way to grade 6. Been teaching at Sportsplex since 2021 in all classrooms 2’s, 3’s & 4’s, and teaching UPK for the past two years. When I’m not in the classroom, I’m enjoying time with friends and my dog Calli.

I have been teaching preschool since 2021 for the
program, in addition to being a summer camp counselor since 2016.
Background: Completed a Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood and Childhood Education
grades Birth to 6 grade at the State University of New York at New Paltz in 2024. I received my
initial certification to teach in grades birth to 6th grade in New York in 2024. I am currently
completing my Master’s in Literacy Education for grades birth to 6th grade at the State
University of New York at New Paltz.
Outside the classroom: Some of my favorite things to do other than teaching are going line
dancing, reading, spending time with friends and family, and going to Broadway shows!
