Mark brings eighteen years of teaching experience to the Hudson Valley. Named 2004 USTA Clinician of the Year, 2002 USPTA Professional of the Year, 2002 USTA Volunteer of the Year and the list goes on. Mark is considered one of the best junior development coaches in the United States. In addition, he is the Regional Vice-President for the USPTA overlooking the improvement of teaching professionals, he speaks annually at various Teaching conferences throughout the USA and continues to further his education toward Master Professional.

Jane is a USPTA P2 Certified Professional. She is our resident stringing specialist. Jane graduated from the University of Delaware having been  a part of a team that posted the longest winning streak in Delaware’s sports history and is #6 all-time doubles winner. She enjoys teaching tots all the way up to adults.  Jane is also a certified Health Coach at Sportsplex who guides people to live their best life.

Nick Hummel

[email protected] Nick has been a teaching professional for over 15 years. He holds a L1 USTA certification in Sports Science. Nick has successfully achieved positions as Director & Head professional, coached juniors to the National Level, and has coached adult U.S.T.A. N.T.R.P. Teams to the Regional, Sectional & National Championship. Nick is currently a Competitive Training Center coach and a USTA 12 & 14 and under Zonal coach. He had the privilege coaching the Eastern Zonal girls 14’s to the gold medal in 2004.

Born in Naples, Italy, played semi-pro tournaments for 10 years as well as part of the Italian team for the Italian Cup. She was the Head Professional in Liverpool, NY, an Empire State Games coach, and has worked in Dallas with Jack Newman at the Fretz Tennis center. In August, Antonella relocated to New Windsor from Syracuse after teaching tennis for eleven years as Head Pro.

John Haslam

John fell in love with tennis 20 yrs. Ago while coaching high school tennis. John has always been considered a good teacher, co-ordinator and developer of students involved in sports. As a 4.0 player he has won the Floridan and North Carolina State Team Championships. In H.S., John was voted into the Hall of Fame in Tennis, Football, Basketball and Baseball.

Nick Stroynick

Nick Stoynick is excited to be a new member of the Sportsplex Tennis Professional Staff . Nick has been teaching players of all ages for fi ve years and is currently working on his USPTA Certifi cation. Nick played college tennis at Rockland Community College. He earned his BS degree in Education from William Patterson University. Nick loves to compete both at the 4.5 level and at Men’s USTA Open Tournaments.
