Children’s Swimming Lessons are available for babies through advanced swimmer level. While working with a Sportsplex professional swim instructor, students will improve stroke techniques, acquire safety skills, increase water comfort and will be encouraged to reach new levels. Classes are age and skill level appropriate. Participants at all levels will gain strength and endurance, improve their confidence and, as with all things Saw Mill, have lots of fun.
Private Swim Lessons Registration Form
Private swim lessons are year round and designed to meet the individual’s needs and goals. Whether for one lesson to touch up on a skill or a series of lessons to master a new skill, private lessons can be conveniently scheduled. From children to adults, our instructors are happy to work with all skills and ability levels.
Swim Club Winter Session (9 weeks) Registration Form
This program has been created to be a bridge program from lessons to the swim team. The Swim Club offers swimmers an opportunity to fine-tune the four competitive strokes, while learning the respective racing start and turn. Participants will be taught how to use the pace clock and complimentary equipment. We encourage swimmers to continue participating whether for fitness or competition.
Provide a fun yet structured environment for swimmers whose ability has progressed beyond the lessons program, but may not be interested in the competition swim team offers.
The clinic’s curriculum has been designed by the swim team coaches and is administered by the assistant coaches and swim lesson instructors.
Dates: Week of Jan. 6 to Mar. 5
Days/Times: Tue & Thu 5:30-6:15PM
*Prerequisite: completion of the Stroke Refinement class or the Aquatic Supervisor’s approval. The instructor to swimmer ratio is 1:8.
Water Exercise Classes
Exercising in the water is one of the most effective ways of increasing cardiovascular strength, muscle endurance and muscle flexibility. Water by its nature is very soothing and cathartic for many; however, it’s the unique properties of water that are beneficial to the masses. Any level athlete, from the novice to professional, can benefit from at least one water workout per week. Participants will gain muscular strength by using the resistance of the water and improves flexibility with the weightless movement.
Each class is structured to allow individuals to work at their own rate of intensity. You do not have to be a swimmer to participate. Please inform the instructor of pregnancy, back problems, and other medical conditions.
