Sportsplex offers a dynamic, challenging and fun group fitness program for all fitness levels and interests. We offer a variety of classes including the world-renowned LesMills BODYPUMP and LesMills COMBAT programs to keep you motivated and excited while creating an “experience” for you at Sportsplex.


CONDITIONING

BODYPUMP™ is the original barbell class that strengthens your entire body. This 60-minute workout challenges all your major muscle groups by using the best weight-room exercises like squats, presses, lifts and curls. Great music, awesome instructors and your choice of weight inspire you to get the results you came for – and fast!

Power Pilates: Improve posture and balance while gaining core strength, muscle tone and overall flexibility in this vigorous classical Pilates class designed for intermediate to advanced members. All exercise series initiate from the core and work the entire body. Balls, bands, rings and other equipment may be used to intensify or modify your workout.

10-Minute Abs: 10 minutes of core work designed to strengthen the abdominals and lower back using a variety of exercises.

Pilates Mat : Improve posture and balance while gaining core strength, muscle tone and overall flexibility in this classical Pilates class designed for all levels. All exercise series initiate from the core and work the entire body. Balls, bands, rings and other equipment may be used to intensify or modify your workout.

Water X: Get moving in the water with this low impact exercise option that is gentle and healing to the body.  Using foam dumbbells, flippers, and other equipment, you’ll work your muscles and receive cardiovascular benefit from our water exercise classes. Great for all levels!


CARDIO CONDITIONING

Belly Dance Express: Celebrate your femininity with this ancient art of dance. This cardio workout gets deep into the core muscles to provide a low-impact, cardio experience while defining your core. Connect the mind, body and spirit in this unique 30-minute class.

BODYCOMBAT™ is the empowering cardio workout where you are totally unleashed. This fiercely energetic program is inspired by martial arts and draws from a wide array of disciplines such as Karate, boxing, Taekwondo, Tai Chi and Muay Thai. Supported by driving music and powerful role model instructors strike, punch, kick and kata your way through calories to superior cardio fitness.

Boot Camp: Challenge yourself…..boot camp style! Cardio intervals combined with muscle conditioning exercises challenge you from head to toe. Jump rope, sprint, jack, crunch and more in this intense class that will leave you with a new body!

Cardio Ball: Get ready to have a ball in this 30-minute, low-impact cardio class designed to get your heart pumping as you move with the fitball. Using stabilizers to aid in balance and control of the ball, you’ll bounce, step, swirl, kick and more in this exciting class for all levels.

Cardio Circuit: Rev up your heart rate with a variety of exercises set up in a circuit format. You will travel around the room utilizing various stations using the bosu, step, jump ropes, etc. for a total cardio experience.

Hi/Lo Combo: This is a classic hi/low aerobics class using just your feet and the floor. Full body sculpting exercises are thrown into the mix using 1 to 4 lb. dumbbells, tubing and/or the ball for a total body workout

Move, Groove, Stretch: Have loads of fun in this simple, low-impact cardio class designed to get you dancing!  Feel free to let loose and move to the music!  Stretching is incorporated with ballet style moves! Perfect for all ages!

NIA: T’ai Chi, tae kwon do, aikido, yoga and various dance forms are blended to create a unique experience for NIA participants. Performed barefoot to music, this class delivers cardiovascular and whole-body conditioning. Because Nia is self-guided and based on creating a loving relationship with the body and following The Body’s Way – the innate intelligence of the body — it is adaptable and safe for any fitness level, from stiff beginners to highly fit athletes.

Strictly Step: Fun and energizing step combinations get your heart pumping in this 45-minute, traditional step class. Basic and intermediate moves, combined with advanced options, make this class fun for all levels. Don’t like the step? No problem! You can participate in this class using just your feet and the floor if you prefer.

Zumba Rhythms: This 15-minute Zumba class is designed to introduce you to the rhythms and basic fundamentals of Zumba. Great for beginners, and those looking to get an additional 15 minutes of Zumba.

Zumba: Ditch the workout, join the Party! Hot, Hot, Hot! Let your hair down and dance your heart out in this latin moves dance class. Cumbia, merengue, salsa, and samba are the four core rhythms used to get you started on your latin journey! Simple, fun, effective! Great for all ages and levels.


SPINNING

Instense Ride: This 45-minute Spinning® class will push your limits as you challenge yourself with an intense drills. All riders are encouraged to work at their level, and modifications are provided throughout the class.

Spinning®: Join our variety of certified instructors as they take you on a journey of flats, hills and drills in this one hour format. While being gentle to your joints, Spinning® burns 400-800 calories in as little as 45 minutes.

Ride to the Max: Push your limits in this early morning, high intensity Spinning® class. Replace that cup of coffee wit this energizing class that will get you pumped for your day.

Road Challenge: Looking for a ride that simulates a true road journey? Look no further! An avid cyclist will take you on a strong, steady ride that is just like an outdoor journey.

Rock Spinning®: A blend of modern rock music will keep you moving in this one hour spinning® class designed to give you a road ride experience.

Spin Pilates: Don’t have time for both? No problem! This class provides you with a quick, 30-minute spin workout followed by a 30-minute Pilates Mat routine. This combination leaves your body feeling energized and refreshed while gaining the benefits of both disciplines in one hour.

Video Spin: Enjoy a ride set to a variety of live performaces from artists from all genres. If you have trouble focusing in a traditional class, give video spin a try!


MIND/BODY

Chi Yoga: Calm the mind and body as you find relief from physical pain and chronic conditions.  Improve joint and organ functions and learn how to breathe deeper and more effectively with Chi Yoga. Flow into different asanas while holding a light chi ball, and experience this ancient art of Yoga.

Gentle Yoga: Enjoy a combination of balance and harmony through slow and relaxed movements. Emphasis is on self-awareness, breath and gentleness to the body.  Each instructor brings a different style and teaching to the Gentle Yoga classes offered.

Hatha Yoga: Traditional hatha poses are practiced while focusing on breathing technique and relaxation.  Challenging yet gentle to the body and spirit, this class is invigorating and refreshing. Find strength, flexibility and focus in this Hatha style class.

Vinyasa Flow: Invigorating, strengthening, detoxifying!  A challenging yet relaxing flow of asanas connecting movement with the breath.  You’ll find balance, strength, flexibility while learning how to breathe efficiently. Each instructor brings a different style of teaching to the Vinyasa Flow classes offered.

Yoga Sculpt: Enjoy this intense Yoga class focusing on the physical postures of yoga for an intense workout.  Gain strength, increase flexibility and learn the importance of the breath in this 45-minute, Vinyasa Flow class.

Yoga Express: 30-minutes of Yoga gives your muscles an overall stretch and strengthening. Calm the mind, relax the spirit and breathe while allowing the muscles to work and then release.


JR. FITNESS

Kids of all ages can find fun activities to keep them moving and fit at Sportsplex. We offer special programs throughout the year to both members and non-members.

Kidz Jam: This fun class designed for ages 4 to 7 introduces children to basic exercises like hoping, skipping, jumping, dancing, balancing, and more! Maximum of 18 children per class. Pre-registration is required at the reception desk up to six days in advance.

Kidz Yoga: This yoga class designed for ages 4 to 7 is themed based and allows children to explore balance, strength and flexibility while learning to be calm and follow direction Four year olds must be mature enough to pay attention for 30 minutes without disrupting the class. Maximum of 18 children per class. Pre-registration is required at the reception desk up to six days in advance.

Music and Movement: This exciting program is offered for ages two to three in six-week sessions. Designed to provide children with a little structure while introducing them to music, movement, acting and techniques to help with sharing and socializing with other children. This is a fee base program. Pre-registration is required.

Parent & Me Yoga: Looking for a wonderful way to enjoy quality time with your child? Look no further. Parent & Me Yoga allows parents the opportunity to explore Yoga with their children ages two to six. Limit of two children per adult. This is a six-week fee base program. Pre-registration is required.

ZUMBA: Ages 10 and up can enjoy the Monday Zumba class with a parent or guardian.

Belly Dance: Ages 10 and up can enjoy the afternoon Belly Dance classes with a parent or guardian.
